In a bid to upgrade the standard of both female and male referees in the country, Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has unveiled ten Sierra Leonean referees, including four women and six men, who have been selected among the 2024 list of FIFA international referees.

The announcement was made at the federation’s secretariat, recognizing the officials’ hard work and professionalism.

However, the FIFA selected referees include Assistant Referees- Precious A.E. Amara, Ibrahim Bah, Michael Conteh, Fatmata Mansaray and Musa Allieu Sandy and Central Referees- Mohamed K. Koroma, Alhaji Musa Kabia, Umu Marrah, Rashid M. Conteh and Aminata Fullah.

According to the participants, they said the opportunity is huge and awesome though they are endless ahead. “We are trained to represent the country at local and international level, and much is expected from us,” they stated.
