Sierra Leonean inspirational, Mohamed Buya Turay, has secured his debut against Nashville SC over the weekend. The 26-year-old Sierra Leonean international player signed to play for Danish club Odense just last month.
And he found the ball in back of the net during a first half of his debut thereby putting his club ahead in their friendly encounter.
His teammate, Enzo Martinez, joined Turay in celebrating the crucial goal, which gave Birmingham a temporary lead before ultimately falling on the feet of Nashville to 3-2.
Uray’s arrival has generated significant excitement among Legion fans, hoping that he can bolster the team’s attacking prowess in the upcoming 2024 USL Championship season.
The club finished seventh in the league, last year, and it is aiming to climb the standings with the help of the talented striker.
“We are thrilled to see Mohamed hit the ground running,” says Birmingham Legion FC Head Coach Marko Spilaric.
With the USL Championship season kicking off in March, all eyes are on Turay to see if he can continue his goal scoring form and help Birmingham Legion FC achieve their ambitions.
