In a joint communiqué between Spread of Grace International an American Missionary Network Empowering and Training Christian Missionary and Orphanage Technical and Vocational Institute (OCTAV) committed several graduates from various field of studies on Saturday.
The ceremony which took place at Mercy Ship, Waterloo compound was witnessed by high level of dignitaries across the country including the president of Water Care, representative from the Ministry of Education, Director for Progressive Learning and high profiled clergies.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Tertiary and Higher Education, Mr. Cyril Williams applauded and congratulated the graduates for their selfless sacrifice and endurance made so far to witness such a great day. He called on them to embrace education as a key priority for the future. “The road you have now chosen is full of many challenges ahead and you must prepare to endure and always remember to represent yourselves well against every obstacle,” Mr. Williams said.
In his sermon, head of Spread of Grace, Mike Miosi called on the successful graduates to always go with God in whatever they do and remember to be a role model in society. The International Clergy applauded them for their steadfastness and believe that the things learnt so far will be used for the greater good.
Founder and philanthropist of the Lord’s Mission and President of OCTAV, His Grace Bishop Hassan Mansaray cautioned the graduates to be socially responsible. “You have been well prepared and motivated to face challenges and so you must always attain and inspire to do greater things awaiting you out there. The institution has over the years rapidly grown by leaps and bounds which has led to the improvement of its educational standard and status. Bishop Mansaray recalled that the “beginning might not be easy and the challenges can frustrate your ambition more so when you have no helpers to motivate you,” and encouraged them not to give up.. He told them to have faith in themselves first before trusting the future. He revealed plans of upgrading the institution to a more successful height to ensure that its glory and standard becomes well recognized.
Mr. Mensah, a graduate speaking to africa24 confessed that he is so proud and full of joy. He encourages other students who want to attend and be part of the institution to grab the chance and opportunity now as several courses of great privilege will help to guide and shape their future. The student president went on to thank his local and international lecturers for their patience as they demonstrated that with love during the course of their studies.
OCTAV is growing very fast, making it as one of the leading and most attractive institutions in the country with proficient courses and well standard lecturers.
