The head coach of FC Republican, Tostao has been released from a cell by Bo Rangers chairman Babadi.
He was reportedly detained at Adonkia police station over the weekend and was subsequently transferred to Lumley police station in Freetown.
The arrest emerged from an alleged assault against Luawa FC Coach Sebastian Bowels during a Premier League match between Luawa and Republican.
However, the Chairman of Bo Rangers Football Club, Babadi Kamara finally came to the rescue of Coach Abu Bakarr Tostao Kamara following his recent custody at the Adonkia Police station.
There have been huge apologies by football pundits across the country regarding the unethical behaviour by the Republican coach.
In a press report dated 17th March 2023, Luawa FC said the incident resulted in Coach Bowles sustaining facial bruises, broken-tooth after Coach Bowels was inflicted by Tostao.
Luawa said that Coach Bowles promptly reported the assault to the authorities and obtained a medical report and confirmed that he went on a coma after he was attacked.
The management of Luawa FC had condemned the violence perpetrated by Tostao in the presence of players and had described the unfortunate action as a way of undermining the principles of fair play and respect that are integral to the game of football.
The club had further called on officials of Sierra Leone Premier League Board and Sierra Leone Football Association to thoroughly investigate the incident and to take a swift disciplinary action against Coach Tostao despite he had been granted bail.
Some stakeholders, however; are still seeking a peaceful settlement between the two coaches.
