The All People’s Congress (APC) female Member of Parliament Hon Memunatu Jalloh (Mems) has shown her unwavering commitment to serving humanity and communities.
The female MP is truly an inspiring figure shown by her heart of compassion, selflessness and tireless dedication to reaching out hundreds of her constituents.
Many of her constituents have described her as a true community champion.
The thoughtful approach to foster a sense of empathy, generosity and fairness to the extent of instilling hopes in times of despair to others makes her a beacon of hope.
The support by the revered MP to the executives and Muslim communities of the two chiefdoms (Marampa and Koya) comprising constituency 070, 072 and 073 in the Port Loko district is welcoming.
These are politically strategic places determined by their numerical strengths.
She has donated some gifts as a demonstration to complement and to fill the gap of political representation in those areas.
Hon. Mems said areas/constituencies with no political representation deserved more attention in order to muster the people’s courage and to rebuild the confidence of the party members and supporters that felt have been left out in the party’s political representation.
The donation of the 60 25kg bags of rice was done in the presence of party executives, symbol carriers, imams and other strong party stalwarts.
Each of the constituencies received 20 bags of (25kg) rice.
The bags of rice goes to both the party executives and mosques identified by the party stakeholders from the various constituencies.
The impact Hon. Mems’ goodwill was manifested as seen in the smiles of the beneficiaries.
And the gesture was seen as a relief to party executives and supporters.
The responses from party chairmen, MP symbol carriers and executive members of the three constituencies are directed toward Honorable Mems.
Many described her move as the right approach and as a novelty.
The beneficiaries went further to state that other members of parliament should strive to emulate Hon. Mems.
They must do so show their generosity and compassion to enrich the lives of the people as demonstrated by right Hon. Memunatu Jalloh (Mems).
The move by Hon. Mems, and the positive impact it has recorded underscores the fact that even small gestures can make a big difference in people’s lives.
It has helped the people to make ends meet at a time of adversity.
