Bra Parrot recently wrote an article in respect of the ongoing construction at the Eastern police round-about which is yet to be completed.
The Wise Bird is always on the right path, that is, to inform, to educate and to conscientize the people about daily events and events relating to national development.
Bra Parrot of late, has noticed that, the Ministry of Works and Public Assets and by extension the government of Sierra Leone is not treating the people of this nation with the respect and dignity they deserved.
What beats the imagination of the Brave Bird is that how can a half kilometer road takes almost five (5) month to be constructed and up to date it is still not completed.
Bra Parrot is completely disappointed with the attitude of the Ministry of Works and Public Asset by not doing what they are supposed to be doing as heads of a ministry.
The Wise Bird is always unhappy whenever he sees the road leading towards Fourah Bay in the east end part of the Capital, Freetown.
The Brave Bird has also noticed that, the road has been left unattended to for months now; the place is now a pool-like where people wash their feet after a day’s walk.
Say what you may, Fourah Bay Road is an eyesore, if and only if the Ministry of Works and Public Asset worth its salt they would not allow such nonsense to take place in the middle of the capital.
The Wise Bird is just thinking aloud and to ask a few questions, why was Road Maintenance Funds created within government? What is the Ministry of Works and Public Assets doing with the monies collected to maintenance the roads?
To many, the government of President Bio is just like children cooking a food they cannot eat, and that it is a toothless bull-dog that barks but cannot bite.
This is more the reason why there is always traffic jam around that area because of the construction is poorly done and the road is incomplete for vehicles to go safely.
The Wise Bird has also noticed that, all the work done at East End Police round-about and Goderich Street is poorly done to the disappointment of the public as huge sum of monies being spent on the roads.
The Parrot understands that a good number of President Bio’s appointees are a disappointment to the nation; some of them are sleeping ministers in fact; some of them don’t seem to know their terms of reference as a minister.
