Bra Parrot has been following both on the atmosphere of political activities, development and other activities in the Country since the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) came to power in 2018.
The brave bird has also been flying the length and breadth of the Country so that it will be able to report accurately and correctly to the people the brave bird is representing.
Bra Parrot can categorically say since the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) came to power, the hardship in the Country has increased more than before. And that makes the ordinary man unable to survive in this test of time. Most fathers cannot control their own children because of the too much hardship in their homes.
Not a single district, town or village that the brave bird had visited without it hearing peoples’ cries complaints and counter complaints about the cost of living in the Country. The brave bird only hopes that, it will not be the same old story.
Bra Parrot could vividly remember when the SLPP came to power in 2018. They came with a new blamed slogan; “Our government inherited a battered economy.” But, throughout their five-year in office, the SLPP regime cannot put the ‘battered economy’ under control.
Bra Parrot will not even hesitate to say that, the SLPP government cannot point at anything in terms of improving the livelihood of the people. Instead, it is all hardship all the way; hardship yesterday, hardship today and hardship tomorrow, and plus, minus, the hardship will continue unabated.
The brave bird has noticed with dismay that, even those in the south and east who are claiming to be supporters of the present regime are suffering just as those in the north and northwest. And, meaning, everybody in Sierra Leone is feeling the pinch.
One political analyst the brave bird spoke with had this to say that any government that cannot take care of the economy, and handle the welfare of its people does not worth its salt.
The brave bird is calling on the President to show magnanimity by way of showing that he is now the father for all and not for few. This is because the expectations of the people are very, very high especially now that he has brought in some ‘fresh legs’ into the game.
The brave bird flew to the home town of the President (Bonthe) over the weekend. What the brave bird got from the people of Bonthe is not good to write home about!
From east, west, north and south the people are crying because of the hardship in the Country. Bra Parrot over-heard a lady saying ‘same President, continuous hardship in the Country.’
