In a bid to improve the standard of sporting disciplines in the country, Sierra Leone’s Junior Men’s Patriots have advanced to the semi-finals of the U19 Cricket World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifier in Tanzania after a 6-wicket victory against Malawi.
The win follows their previous victory against Rwanda, where they won by 7 wickets.
Sierra Leone won the toss and chose to bowl first. Their decision paid off as they restricted Malawi to a total of 102 runs. Notably, 15-year-old Sahr Lebbie performed exceptionally taking 3 wickets while conceding only two runs.
