Hon Abdul Karim Kamara has expressed his opinion on the latest threatening remarks made by a senior politician promising of wrecking insecurity in the country.
During an exclusive interview by this medium, he condemned the threatening remarks made by a senior member of the ruling government, Kadiru Kaikai.
Hon AKK is disappointed with the security personnel not to charge to court Kaikai over his statement he considers as damning as it meant to incite unrest in the country.
“The threatening statement made by Kaikai is the same made by Ustin Johnny few years ago and it has become a pattern by the ruling party members to utter statements of unrest.”
“We will not accept as a nation for people to take us back in the dark days,” he said.
Hon Kamara said the nation had experienced a situation where limbs of people were cutoff, killed, houses burnt down.
“The scars of the war are still on the minds of many affected Sierra Leoneans,” AKK said.
He said as opposition they want to see those threatening the peace and stability of Sierra Leone being incarcerated and charged to court.
He said as opposition they wish to see actions taken against those who’re threatening the peace of the nation.
“We want to see the law taking its course,” he said
He said there have been threatening remarks of insecurity being made by some members of ruling party but none of them has been brought to justice for uttering such gravely threats.
