“Our focus in 2021 is to robustly fight lawlessness and indiscipline in the country. The Executive Management Board (EMB) chaired by the Inspector General, Ambrose Michael Suvolla, has prioritized the fight against lawlessness and indiscipline this year,” Director of the Operations Support Division (OSD) Chief Superintendent Francis Moses Tower, told this medium in an exclusive interview.
He said the police will intensify their engagement with various communities in the fight against crime and called on the people to continue to trust the Force and work within the ambit of the law. He said the police is not everywhere in the country and therefore implored on them to continue to give vital information to the police for prompt action.
CSP Tower disclosed that the method of checkpoints is going to be changed. He said they will continue to observe the human rights of citizens in addition to making sure that people go about their normal business without any hindrance.
He said the Inspector General, Ambrose Michael Suvolla and his team are working round the clock to ensure the peace and tranquility of the country.
CSP Tower called on the people not to be afraid of police officers but to work with them to ensure the peace and stability of the nation.
“We don’t like to arrest people for minor issues. The country needs peace and development and that could only be achieved if the communities work closely with the personnel,” CSP Tower emphasized.
In his contribution, the Deputy Director Superintendent Francis Brima Meinday assured this medium that they will intensify their operation to actualize the dream of the Inspector General.
They both lauded the rank and file of OSD personnel for their dedication to duty in 2020 and implored on them to redouble their effort to bring sanity in the country.
