The amount of irregularities in some government hospitals the Wise Bird has noticed is very much alarming to both individual and by extension the general public.

As Bra Parrot continues to turn the pages of the Audit Report of 2022 to know more, the Wise Bird eyes caught page 279 of the report, with sub-heading ‘DOUBLE PAYMENT OF RENT ALLOWANCES TO TWO MEDICAL DOCTORS’.

The Wise Bird observed from the report that, rent allowances were paid twice to two medical doctors from the two bank account.

The report went further to say that, the two doctors were paid annual rent allowances of SLE5, 000 each, the Wise Bird also noticed from the report that, on the 8th August 2022, a cheque valued at SLE10 ,000 was also withdrawn from the Bo government hospital account and on the 15th August 2022, a cheque valued at SLE20,000 was also withdrawn.

On page 281 of the same report the Wise Bird noticed that, 69 staff on the Ministry’s payroll was not on the staff list submitted for verification during audit.
