On Monday 12th August, 2024, Forty-four years old Foyah Boboh a driver, thirty-four- years old Alfred Michael Kortu and forty years old Alimamy Lahai Mansaray, a security guard and fifty-four years old Joseph Songo Bangura, also security guard, made their first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No 2.
They allegedly stole building materials and were remanded in custody.
The accused were arraigned before the court on two count charges which are conspiracy to commit a crime and larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
The charge sheet indicated that, the accused on Saturday 27th July, 2024 at Regent village conspired together to commit a crime.
The charge sheet further stated that the accused on the same day did steal thirty leaves of zinc valued at twenty two thousand, eight hundred new Leones property of Jamper Cocoa Factory Company whilst in custody of Angel Security Agency.
After the matter has been mentioned, and no plea was taken by the accused.
The prosecutor Sergeant 9155 Marcathy Dwight, sought for an adjournment that the witnesses were absent in court.
The accused were unrepresented and so no bail application was made on their behalf.
Magistrate Bangura said that, the accused did not have proper addresses to locate them.
They were remanded in custody and the matter comes up again on 26th August, 2024.
