The Sierra Leonean international and Indy Eleven FC forward, Augustine Williams, has been named USL Championship Team Player of the Week.
He has been recognized for such a title going for a second consecutive week now.
During the recent match against Louisville City FC, Williams displayed exceptional performance by scoring two goals.
And so he has achieved a remarkable feat of having scored five goals in three consecutive matches.
This achievement makes him the first player in the franchise history to attain such a landmark.
Moreover, Williams has entered a record book as the fifth player in USL Championship history to score double-digit goals in three consecutively regular seasons, with 10 goals netted in 2024.
One of Williams’ goals was scored in the stoppage time in the first half, and it earned him the nomination for USL Championship Goal of the Week.
His second goal of the match contributed to the team to secure a 2-2 draw, drawing attention and interests for the players from key clubs in Europe.
