The Wise Bird is not a member of any political party(s) in the country; only that, the bird loves transparency and accountability and always wants things to be done in the right way.
As the bird does not have a voting right in the country, he only has the right to vote in the animal Kingdom when they have their elections to elect the CHIEF BIRD.
The bird reads widely, listens to radio and often goes to social media to be properly acquainted himself with issues of the day.
On social media the Wise Bird saw a letter written to the US Ambassador by one Mr. Alfred Peter Conteh, on behalf of the APC party.
The letter highlighted a number of issues which the bird will not have time to go into in detail, the bird will only summarize a part of the letter.
The brave bird noticed that, Mr. Alfred Peter Conteh up to date, is claiming to be the chairman of the APC party and according to the letter he (Mr. Conteh) still has powers of a chairman which the High Court gave to him.
According to the letter, Mr. Conteh accuses the High Court of taking a decision and another it being over turned, that decision, he said, is a very bad precedent.
In his letter, he said he wants the US Ambassador to join Sierra Leoneans from all walks of life to put pressure on the Chief Returning Officer of ECSL to produce the results of June 24, 2023 elections.
He also spoke about misleading communication by the Tripartite Committee and that the people were not properly informed then.
The question the Wise Bird wants to ask is who Mr. Alfred Peter Conteh is in the APC party as of now when his chairmanship is and was long overdue.
From the understanding of the bird, a National Delegates Conference was held in which the National Executive was elected to run the affairs of the party, was he, Mr Conteh, elected?
How can Mr. Alfred Peter Conteh claims to be the chairman of the APC when he was not elected in the Convention?
It is but fitting that, the National Secretary General of the APC, should put out a statement as to who is the Chairman of the APC party.
