Dominique Niyonzima, FIFA’s Regional Technical Consultant, has conducted a transformative exercises aimed at improving coaching standards in the country.
The session captured Premier League staff and National Team coaches, and notable football figures including Mohamed Kallon, Amidu Karim, John Edward Keister, and others.
During the teaching, Niyonzima focused on explaining the critical values of humility, hard work, patience, and continuous skill development in fostering a high-performance football culture. The event underscores FIFA’s commitment to nurturing football excellence across member associations.
Moreover, Niyonzima underlined the potential of FIFA’s Football for Schools initiative.
He encouraged sustained collaboration between the SLFA and the Ministries of Sports and Education to integrate football into schools, thereby nurturing grassroots talent while fostering sports development of children from an early age.
