It is often said that institutions are not made by themselves but rather people made institutions to become more effective, efficient and develop.
To achieve these goals, five personnel from Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority including the Director of Transport Brima Arthur Bockarie on Saturday 14th December 2024 graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Automobile Engineering at the Milton Margai Technical University in Freetown.
It could be recalled that these five graduates are the first set of Road Safety Authority workers to achieve such renounced qualifications in Automobile Engineering.
The course has just been newly introduced by Milton Margai Technical University with Director Brima having a First Class Honours in Automobile Engineering thus bringing additional laurels to the institution.
In a snappy interview with these graduates, in a joyful smile, the graduates told our reporter that for them, it has been a mere sacrifice to attend classes under job pressures at the same time.
“But our efforts have not gone in vain,” They said.
They said the knowledge they’ve acquired will be important to other colleague staff.
They promised to pass it on to others in a bid to help the institution to forge ahead, adding
“knowledge gain have to be shared if knowledge is not shared then such knowledge is not meaningful.”
Director Brima appealed to others to try and pursue so as to broaden their knowledge.
He gave thanks and appreciation to lecturers who have helped to impact knowledge to them .
He further extended a special thanks to his wife who helps to stand by him throughout his challenges.
He further appealed to colleagues to pass on the knowledge they have acquired to others and try to pursue further since education is a continuous process.
