In a remarkable collaborative effort, Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) joins hands with the 24th batch of the China Medical Team to deliver some essential medical services to its employees and residents Kegbama community.
Kegbama village is found in Tonkolili district.
This initiative has had a significant impact benefiting hundreds of vulnerable children, mothers, and the 5,000 plus employees (both Chinese and nationals) of LRMG.
The medical team, on Monday 26 February, 2024, offered a wide range of medical services. The medics cover Nneurological, pediatrics, gynecological, orthopedics, otolaryngological, ophthalmological, chirurgery, malaria testing, and medicinal provisions and other crucial medical interventions.
This holistic approach to healthcare underscores LRMG’s commitment to prioritizing the health and well-being of its employees and the communities in which it operates.
LRMG’s longstanding partnership with the China Medical Team has been instrumental in bringing skilled health professionals and physicians to its sites in Pepel and Tonkolili, says the mining company.
This collaboration has been met with appreciation by employees who value the proactive approach to healthcare this partnership has facilitated.
The company’s dedication to the principle of “safety first” for all is further exemplified through its several health safety and environment initiatives which cover a range of safety measures aim at preventing workers’ injuries and mitigating health risks among individuals both at LRMG’s mines and among its operational communities.
Following comprehensive check-ups, the distribution of medicines, and delivery of medical advice, both employees and community members had expressed their gratitude for the proactive and sense of caring shown by management of LRMG.
