There is no secret that the senior most elder in this kingdom, the Wise Bird loves to fly but not in the case of Pa ooh. But please I do not want anybody to misinterpret me when I said the Pa. The bird’s own frequent roving is quite different because his own travels always yield satisfactory dividends.
As a result of those travels, he has been able to visit different places across this Republic including political party offices, to know more about their operations and by extension party membership structure.
Recently, the brave bird flew to the office of the ruling SLPP to have discussions with old friends as it has taken sometime without seeing each other.
Upon arrival at the office, the bird asked for the Chairman, a longtime friend, but unfortunately he was having a meeting with senior party members at the time.
However, the patient bird did not leave the building without having discussion with other members of the party who were unable to identify that they were talking to the great and the bravest bird they have heard about.
All those the most respected animal spoke with gave a clear description of how the party looks like of late.
From their response, Bra Parrot deduced that some of them are not happy with the party and others described it as a failed party, blaming those at the helm of affairs to have little or no interest for those at the bottom, as well as the country, as they have failed to fulfill their lofty election promises.
“This is not the change we were expecting at all, because the current change is neither reflective on us as party members nor the wider population,” the angry members stated with one accord.
The members spoke about the provision of basic necessities including food security, energy and job creation as they used to herald that the previous APC regime failed to address the bread and butter issue in the country. According to them nothing has changed and that in fact their leadership has woefully failed to address those areas since it came to power in 2018 to date.
“We are not saying that, the government has not done anything only that, the welfare of the people is very paramount and anything contrary to that will be considered as failure in whatever respect,” they opined.
Given all what the bird heard from the dejected supporters, he left the party office in sorrow and sympathy for them because he was expecting that they were going to shower praises on their leaders for taking good care of them but unfortunately, it was in sharp contrast though. Some of us (SLPP members) love the party not an individual that is more the reason we will never move to go anywhere.
