Of late the Wise Bird has noticed that he has been sidelined in a number of programmes, and so, almost all important events of national interests could not be discussed by the bird as he is kept aside or uninvited.

But as the bird is a very good friend of all politicians, he would always make himself available in debates on the country’s interest, whether invited or not he will navigate his way to attend any meeting of interest.

Over the weekend, the Wise Bird went in Bo Town unnoticed where the Chairman of the Main Opposition the All People’s Congress APC party Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray was attending a Fundraising Dinner.

The brave bird whilst in Bo at the meeting, he overheard the Chief Executive Officer of the APC Alhaji Minkailu Mansary who was delivering a very powerful speech as he was addressing APC stakeholders.

He highlighted very important points relating to the wellbeing of the party; he said among other things that, the APC is a living organism that thrives on purposeful leadership and collective action.

He went further to say that, just as a vehicle which requires a competent driver to navigate the road ahead, so the party too needs a competent driver now.

The Chairman however, underscored the importance of ethical governance, transparency and responsible decision making within the APC party and to set a very high standard for the party’s future.

What beats the imagination of members including the Wise Bird was when the Chairman spoke about having a reckless driver who is unable to drive the vehicle. The party he said needed a competent driver now to drive the vehicle to victory.

The party MUST drop that reckless driver and find a competent one to driver the vehicle well.

The Chairman also spoke on the need for APC to continue its journey towards the next political cycles.

Those who were present at the meeting noticed that the Chairman is now taking the leadership role in the party.

The bird sounded the views of members and supporters of the APC party on the statement of the National Chairman.

All those the bird came in contact with were in support of the Chairman of the APC.

They said this is the time for the party to come together for a better tomorrow.
