The National Secretary General of the All People’s Congress party, Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya has said that his party will not take part in the forthcoming elections if the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mohamed Kenewui Konneh failed to address the numerous issues the party has raised in connection to the voter identity cards.
According to the APC National scribe, the voter card is not fit for its intended purpose which is to vote come June 24th, 2023, adding that both the registration and verification exercises were marred with lot of electoral fraud which he said has prompted his party to challenge the credibility of the Electoral Commission.
Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya revealed that most of the voter cards are photoless and are being rejected at various banks due to mismatch of information and this he said has raised public eyebrows on the national electoral regulatory body.
He reiterated that his party, the strong main opposition, will not take part in the upcoming elections if the issues highlighted by his party are not taken seriously or given a quick fix.
