The Deputy Leader of Government Business One, who doubles as the Member of Parliament from Bo district, Hon Bashiru Silikie on Friday 5th April 2024 showed his unwavering commitment by donating 100 bags of 25kg of rice, 55 gallon of cooking oil and cash to help communities in his constituency.
The event took place at the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) office at Yamandu station in Bo district.
Hon Bashiru is truly inspiring as his heart is full of compassion, selflessness and his tireless dedication in reaching out to his constituents is unmatchable.
Many of his constituents have described him as a true community development champion.
The thoughtful approach to foster a sense of empathy, generosity and fairness, to the extent of instilling hopes in times of despair to others makes Hon Silikie to be seen as a beacon of hope.
The support by the revered MP to his constituency executive members and Muslim communities of Yamandu Station in Bo district is compelling.
The constituency is a politically strategic zone which often determines numerical strength in election’s voting.
Hon Bashiru Silikie said the constituency members deserved more attention in order to muster up their courage and to continue to build up their confidence.
The donation was made to party symbol carriers, imams and other party stalwarts.
The executive of constituency received 100 bags of 25kg of rice.
The impact of his goodwill was manifested in the smiles of the beneficiaries and again provided a relief to party executives and supporters.
The recipients of the donations urged other members of parliament to do the same kind gesture shown by MP Silikie.
