“This product (24 Hour Energy Drink) is hereby certified as fit for purpose in compliance with the requirement of the standards/specifications.

On the basis of laboratory analysis, the product is compliant with the requirement of the national standard. Conformity of the product with reference to the test results is based on the specifications contained in the relevant national standard,” the Executive Director and Deputy Director of Sierra Leone Standards Bureau states in their analysis report dated November 20th 2022.

The American Beverage Sierra Leone Limited Company which produces “24 Hours Energy Drink” has started operations in Sierra Leone in February 2022 after fulfilling all the conditions established by the government of Sierra Leone.

Speaking to a cross section of journalists, the Manager of the Company, Abdul Hassan Nasser denied report that their product is contaminated or sub standard.

“24 Hours Energy Drink is safe, reliable and comfortable. Our Company is tax compliance since we started operations in Sierra Leone. The Company has employed over two hundred and fifty (250) workers in addition to complying with the Local Content Policy,” Mr. Nasser said, adding that the Manager of is a Sierra Leonean.

He said they are in full compliance with the Sierra Leone Standards Bureau.

Mr. Nasser emphasized that the American Beverage Sierra Leone Limited is in full compliance with sampling of their product produced for testing and the report is consistent with specification limits as they just finished another test on November 10th 2022 with SR Code T1315 -191022 – 06.

He assured the people of Sierra Leone that the Company is here to stay, and that they will always comply with all regulations set by the Sierra Leone Standards Bureau. He condemned some businesses that are engaged in unhealthy business competition in the country to surpass other businesses thereby bringing genuine products down.

He warned people against spreading false information on social media and other platforms about his Company, noting that there are bad people that are bent on blackmailing other businesses just to make their businesses succeed.

He called on Sierra Leoneans to rely on the certificate provided by the Sierra Leone Standards Bureau and the Company for accurate information about the 24 Hours Energy Drink. He distanced his Company from the negative and false rumour that is circulated in neighbouring Guinea about the 24 Hours Drink.
