Due to unemployment crisis facing young graduates year-in and year-out and many are left with no alternative but to engage themselves in tricycle or (Kekes) riding as an alternative means of survival.
One may like to ask why do graduates forgone their careers and choose Keke riding.
Rather than them waiting for job within their areas of studies to be able to help contribute to national development of the country after have spent money and time to empower themselves academically.
Many would want to cast blame on the government for not catering or opening up spaces for college and university graduates.
These colleges and universities produce young men and women every year as graduates every year.
Other schools of taught will say are youth
actually choose the right type of courses to fit into the employment market but no jobs at the end of their graduation.
This has been a whole topic of debate in the country.
However, to say the least, it is incumbent on every government world wide to provide
jobs for its citezeny in respective of graduates not doing the right courses that will secure them employment.
What actually needs to be done is that the education ministry should try to see how they can rebrand the education curriculum to help prevent the high rate of employment and
dropouts in Sierra Leone.
