Eight years after the disappearance of a youth named Abdul Rahman Sesay; at the hands of ‘Poro’ stakeholders, there is a desperate effort to re-capture him.
Sources, added that Abdul Rahman Sesay was forcefully conscripted in order to replace his deceased father who was the head of the exclusively male ‘Poro’ society.
According to investigation mounted by this medium, Abdul Rahman Sesay had no idea that he will succeed his father as head of the ‘:Poro’ society because he was never informed.
However, tradition demands that at the passing of the substantive holder of this position, the immediate successor must be the next of kin and apparently Abdul Rahman Sesay happens to be the ultimate heir to the throne.
During the course of our investigation, this medium found out that Abdul Rahman Sesay was unexpectedly captured by the ‘Poro’ stakeholders immediately after the funeral rite of his deceased father. He was later on forcefully taken to the ‘shrine’ in order to undergo initiation process to become the head.
Reports further revealed that, Abdul Rahman Sesay put up a stiff resistance and made a miraculous escape from the hands of his captors after an intense scuffle.
This medium also gathered that since Abdul’s escape; ‘Poro’ stakeholders have been desperately searching for him and baying for his blood; across the nook and cranny of Sierra Leone with hope to re-capture him.
‘Poro’ members have a wide range network in Sierra Leone and anyone who falls foul of their law when re-captured have suffered fatal consequences.
As we keep monitoring the unfolding situation, this medium can confirm that, ‘Poro’ stakeholders have vowed not to relent; rather than to see that Abdul Rahman Sesay suffers fatal consequences for defying ancestral norm that has stood from generations to generations.
They considered Abdul’s action as a taboo that will lead to calamitous ramifications not only to the ‘Poro’ society but generations yet unborn.
In Sierra Leone, the government doesn’t interfere into any secret society.
