For the first time in six meetings, FC Kallon beat the defending champions, Bo Rangers, at the Approved School Grounds in Wellington, Freetown last Saturday.
FC Kallon are now in second place with 15 points after eight games played.
The Cavaliers are just four points behind the league leaders, Bhantal FC, who are with 19 points from playing seven games.
David Janneh’s header in the first half was the decider for the Cavaliers to claim their first victory against Rangers in six meetings in the Sierra Leone top division.
The centre-back converted one in the 25th minute from a corner kick.
The defending champions have defeated the Cavaliers in all five previous meetings including a 1-nil victory last season which earned them a vital three points top of the championship league.
Bo Rangers are currently hold the fifth position in the league standings with a total of 13 points.
