The declaration of the one-time National Grand Coalition (NGC) Kambia district Chairman, Mr. Abdul S. Kanu for the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) party has caused turbulent days and sleepless nights for the Leader of the NGC, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella who has lately formed an alliance with his former party, the Sierra Leone Peoples party (SLPP) ahead of the June 24th polls. The former NGC Kambia district Chairman on Friday 26th May, 2023 declared alongside with hundreds of NGC supporters for the APC at the Kambia community field.

According to Mr. Abdul S. Kanu, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella Kambians and the entire nation by forming alliance with his former party, adding that they declared for he declared for the APC because he believed that the APC presidential candidate will rebuild the country’s collapsed economy.  He added that the wind of change has started blowing and they are yearning for the change.

On his part, the APC flagbearer, Dr. Samura Kamara admonished Kambians to not be deceived twice, adding that he is God fearing with a stainless record in governance. He added that the destiny of the economy is in their hands and left with them to make the right choice.

Dr. Samura Kamara revealed that the people are going through economic hardship due to the incompetence of the SLPP and said that he will fight hard to change the economic situation if voted for on June 24th.
