As the 2023/24 Leone Rock Premier League is underway, one of the oldest football clubs in Sierra Leone, have signed three major players to boost their squad ahead of their upcoming matches.
The three new players are: Mohamed Rooney Sesay, Alhassan Daramy and Musa Oga Fofanah.
The novel players are expected to transform the club’s current poor form in the league due to the departure of many other players.
Crucial amongst the signings is the forward Alhassan Noble Daramy from Bo Rangers. Daramy is well-known for his goal-scoring prowess since his early days with Old Edwardians Football Club.
The “Tis Tas” boys earlier suffered three straight defeats last month and were humiliated 2-1 by the Freetown City Council Football Club (FCFC) on Friday 9 December, 2023 at the Parade Playing field.
The club’s struggling form reportedly led to the resignation of the team’s captain Ron Gandi Williams.
Many supporters are hopeful that the new signings will inject more energy to charge the current narrative in the team.
