The Wise Bird is not known for blackmailing or marline any individual or group of individuals or even attempting to take sides on issues of national interest.

The bird is known to be practical by way of calling things by their correct and proper names at the right time and at right place.

That is more the reason the bird always commands and maintains his respect at every given time to the admiration of the people.

Because of his uncompromising stances on issues, the bird can fly anywhere in the country without any harm on him, because the people have trust in him.

What the bird has noticed of late is that, reputable institutions in the country are in the habit of mortgaging their integrity for pittance  on earth; why can’t people stand for what they stood for under the sun; integrity is not in any shop or market for sale, one has to build it and stand by it.

The bird could say without fear or favour that journalism as a profession is at a cross road simply because the present regime has apparently bought everybody including the most respected association (SLAJ).

The Bio administration may have brought a very big fight into the Association and by extension the entire profession itself.

At present the association, some observers say, is completely divided some members are contemplating to form a new Association just as the Lawyers did, they have formed Lawyers’ Society which is their democratic rights.

What President Bio has done or doing now has been done before by former Presidents, but in deep secret and not in the open, Late President Kabbah (May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace) did it secretly, and Ernest Bai Koroma did the same in secret, why now in the open?

From the look of things, President Bio wants to make political gains for future elections.

He has made every position in SLAJ to become very lucrative these days because all eyes are now open to the millions and billions of Leones given to SLAJ as subvention.

At this point, the bird also wants to copy from the President when he was tabulating how the monies were given to SLAJ, in 2020 Le 200m, 2021 Le 500m, 2022 Le700m and in 2023/2024 Le 1.5bn and in 2025 it will be Le2.5bn the bird will be sitting quietly and watch how the SLAJ elections will go with this kind of monies given to SLAJ as subvention.

The friend of the Wise Bird the Eagle was asking whether the bird has voting right in SLAJ elections.

The bird said, he will cross that bridge when he gets on to it, meaning the bird has two voting rights at SLAJ elections and in the animal Kingdom elections.

As SLAJ elections are drawing closer, the wise bird is envisaging a big fight for positions because all eyes are open; everybody wants to become an executive in SLAJ.

Who knows what will happen in 2026, 2027 and 2028 when President Bio will want his successor to win the 2028 elections.

The Wise Bird is not good in prediction, but if he is to predict come 2027/28 the subvention it will go up to trillions.

The bird is envisaging serious problem the next SLAJ election, it will be do or die, it will be like the national election because everybody wants to be part of the executive.

The bird only hopes that, it will not be Green vs. Red like the national election.
