The wise bird is known for calling things by their correct and proper names at the right time, that is more the reason the people always has respect for the bird.
The most respected animal has observed that certain institutions in the country do not live to do things to the expectations of the people.
And so that is why they have little or no respect from the general public.
The bird will never relent in bringing the odds of those institutions.
Many a time the public has been accusing the press of not doing anything to expose the odds in society, but not all presses do fall short on this.
The wise bird has been drawing the attention of the Freetown City Council ( FCC) about the continuous noise in the city by traders who are using mega-phones and loud-speaker to disturb the peace of the people.
The bird has been reliably informed that, the Mayor of Bo city has acted in accordance with the authority vested in him by the law, he has given orders to all the traders to stop using mega-phones and loud-speakers in the township of Bo forthwith or face the full force of the law, upon hearing these message from the office of the Mayor all mega-phones and loud-speakers have died down.
The bird went out to get the views of the people; most of the people the bird contacted expressed dismay over the lack of authority to act by the Mayor of Freetown City Council.
Other people went further to say the Mayor of Freetown only has powers in her office and not the entire city that is why she cannot stop the using of mega-phones and loud-speakers in the city.
If the Mayor of Bo city can stop mega-phones and loud-speakers in the city of Bo why not Freetown, the people asked?
The bird has traveled the length and breadth of the capital city and came to the realization that every conner one will hear mega-phones or loud-speakers.
The traders use mega-phones to sell peppers, water, oranges, bread, cassava-leaves and a lot more.
FCC’s metropolitan police are now on a business gang-style like; when the mega-phones and loud-speakers are seized the traders pay Nle 10 or more Leones to get it back.
The bird is waiting to see whether the Council will take action this time.
