Nearly few months ago, the Local Unit Commander at Rogbaneh  Police Station in Makeni North East Region, Chief Superintendent of Police,Abu Bakarr Magona and team have not be giving any breathing  space to criminals and drugs traffickers within Makeni township.

In a decisive operation against drugs traffickers the police in Makeni Division arrested two individuals identified as Amadu Jawara of Kabala Town and Alhaji Sitta Jalloh of 7 Yeli Sanda Road, Makeni.

The two individuals were arrested with a substantial quantities of illegal drugs.

The operation was led by CSP Abu Bakarr Magona, which resulted in the confiscation of one hundred and seventy parcels of cannabis sativa and a fiscal cash of NLe 68,000 .

The arrest came about following a tip off from officers stationed at the Makoth check point along the Makeni highway.

It was reported that a commercial vehicle with registration number AQG 454 had forcefully evaded a routine search and speed check going towards Makeni.

Wasting no time CSP Magona mobilized an operation team, and successfully intercepted the vehicle at ladies mile in Makeni.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered the concealed cannabis

parcel parcels and so both the suspects and the confiscated drugs had been handed over to the Rogbaneh Police Station where investigation is ongoing.
