Isha Johansen, former FIFA Council official and ex-SLFA president, has denied wild rumours that she musters plans to run in for Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA)’s presidency in future elections.
In a recent interview, Johansen spoke about her time in football administration and her future plans without admitting her intention to go in for FA’s president.
Johansen had expressed her full support to ensure that there is good governance within SLFA. She explained about the challenges the organization faced both before and during her time in office.
“There are so many things that have gone wrong before I came. There are so many things that continue to go wrong whilst I was there, hence the reason I ran into so many problems with stakeholders and with the Government. There are so many things that continue to go wrong,” she said.
When asked about the possibility of contesting for the SLFA presidency again, Johansen responded firmly with a no answer, “No, I’ll tell you….”
She further explained that her focus now lies on global matters. “There’s a bigger global impact and a lot of things that I need to do and chase up, and a lot of things that I see that I’m going to do, moving forward.”
