On the first day His Excellency, Dr. President Julius Maada Bio made the decision to choose Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh as his running mate, many were taken by surprise. His name came out of the blue, and to some, he was seen as a political novice.

However, since assuming office, Dr. Jalloh has done nothing but prove the doubters wrong. He has demonstrated unwavering loyalty, dedication, and an unshakable commitment to serving the people of Sierra Leone alongside President Bio.

Dr. Jalloh has proven to be a trustworthy lieutenant to His Excellency, a man who can be relied upon in all circumstances. Despite the political turbulence and mudslinging that often characterizes Sierra Leone’s political landscape, Dr. Jalloh has remained a gentle, humble, and disciplined public servant. Unlike others in the not-too-distant past, who allowed power and position to inflate their egos, Dr. Jalloh has carried himself with humility, grace, and an enduring sense of purpose.

Over the years, we have seen men and women come and go, faltering under the weight of their own unreliability and untrustworthiness. However, Dr. Jalloh has remained steadfast. President Bio, as the fountain of honor and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Sierra Leone, requires individuals in his administration who embody trust, dedication, and competence. Dr. Jalloh has been that dependable shoulder, an unwavering support system, and a steady force in the government, ensuring that the vision of the President is executed diligently.

Some may argue that Dr. Jalloh is too quiet or not proactive enough. However, it is crucial to understand that as Vice President, his role is to serve as the shadow of President Bio, executing his directives and policies. Dr. Jalloh operates within the constitutional framework, ensuring that every action aligns with the rule of law and the nation’s best interests. His humility and composure should not be mistaken for weakness; rather, they are hallmarks of a statesman who understands the gravity of leadership.

His unflinching loyalty to the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and his dedication to the citizens of Sierra Leone cannot be overstated. Throughout his tenure, he has worked tirelessly to complement the President’s efforts in governance, contributing to national development in ways that many may not immediately recognize.

Furthermore, Dr. Jalloh’s respect for the rule of law and the constitution of the Republic of Sierra Leone stands as a testament to his integrity. He understands that leadership is about service, not personal aggrandizement. Unlike some who have used their positions to enrich themselves or engage in self-serving political games, Dr. Jalloh remains focused on the bigger picture, the progress and prosperity of Sierra Leone.

As President Bio recently stated, he is committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders who will drive Sierra Leone forward. If we are to look for an individual who embodies this vision and is well-positioned to carry the torch of leadership into the future, we need to look no further than Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh. He has been mentored by one of Sierra Leone’s most dedicated leaders, and he possesses the qualities necessary to steer the country towards greater heights.

Dr. Jalloh is also a trailblazer in his own right. He is the first and only Sierra Leonean to have been chosen by a sitting president as a running mate for two consecutive terms, an achievement that speaks volumes about the trust and confidence President Bio has in him.
