Mohamed Kallon has been unveiled as the new Head Coach of Leone Stars.
Leone Stars is the national senior men’s football team.
The event took place on Wednesday 26th February, 2025 at the football academy in Kingtom.
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), and other line ministries that are associated with sports in the country graced the occasion.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the SLFA headquarters in Freetown, was attended by key stakeholding bodies, the Ministry of Sports and National Sports Authority NSA.
The event underscored the collective support for Kallon’s appointment. Many asked if the job was advertised to the public or done in secret by SLFA only believe in secret on Kallon’s appointment.
Equally so, they argued that the appointments of coach John Kiester and Amidu Karim were unadvertised too, thus failing to respect FIFA international standards.
