The All People’s Congress (APC) party Disciplinary Committee Chairperson, Madam Nanette Thomas, has blasted the Secretary General of the party Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya, and the National Chairman, Hon Minkailu Mansaray for reneging from their roles and responsibilities.

According to the former Minister of Political Affairs and Public Affairs, the Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya has out rightly refused to implement the committee’s recommendations regarding the anti-party conduct of Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Hon. Alfred Thompson.

She Furthered emphasized that the party Chairman

Minkailu Mansaray has also failed to instill discipline within the party, resulting in widespread disregard for its disciplinary measures.

She stated that, they did try to lure Hon. Mohamed Bangura and  Alfred Peter Thompson to come to the disciplinary committee hearing, but they refused, instead Mohamed Bangura allegedly used words against the committee.

She noted that, after their investigation, they recommended that the two APC members be expelled from the party.

Accordingly, Madam Thomas and team sent a copy of the recommendation to Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya to notify parliament that the two MPs are going to be expelled, but that Lansana Dumbuya never gave her a copy of the letter he promised to send to the Speaker of Parliament.

She also blamed the Chairman of the party, Hon. Minkailu Mansaray for allowing Mohamed Bangura to be going from one media house to the, bad mouthing his own party.

The former minister also expressed her confidence that Dr. Samura Kamara will emerge victorious in the quest to restore democracy.

She called on the party hierarchy and other flagbearers aspirants to join in the fight for electoral justice.
