The most respected animal always want to see that, the people in his Kingdom living a happy and peaceful life free from noise especially in the capital city and its environs.

The wise bird has been making series of complains to the Freetown City Council (FCC) in respect of the continued noise in the capital city Freetown.

But from all indications, the authorities at FCC and the law enforcement officers (police) always give deaf ears and turn blind eyes to this burning issue in the city which has not only become a lawlessness but killing to certain extent.

But thank God somebody has taken a bold and giant step to start to control the madness. According to reliable information, the Mayor of Bo city has acted responsibly by giving very strong instructions to all the traders using mega phones, loud speakers to stop forthwith or face the full force of the law. If the information is correct, then the patriotic bird wants to say Bravo sir.

It is reported that since that warning, Bo has been a quiet city unlike the capital which the Mayor of Freetown City Council has not been able to control traders probably as a result of political interference.

The Mayor of Bo city is a full blooded SLPP but has been able to control all SLPP members to abide by the laws of the land.

The bird noticed that the number of traders have continued to grow with proportionate lawlessness.

They do not only sell how they want but in most cases use criminal tricks to make excess profits.

Coupled with that, they are also responsible for the deafening noise in the city using mega phones to advertise their goods.

There is no secret that   the Freetown City Council is unable to control the lawlessness of the traders.

It is very difficult to know whether Freetown is the Capital City because of the noise, the number of portholes, black out, and filthy drainages are all contributing factors to the backwardness of the once buzzing city.

Thanks to the Mayor of Bo city who has stood his ground to see that sanity prevails, ‘kudos sir’ unlike the Freetown Mayor who cannot stand up to tell the traders to stop making noise in the city.

The wise bird will continue to blow the trumpet until something is done.
