Unlike other citizens of this Republic who never see good things in others and are quick to point accusing fingers at those they do not like when things go wrong, the wise bird, being a patriot, always give praises where praises are due and condemn those who do wrong. That is more the reason the bird is so much loved by the people.

As a result of his wide roving across the country, the Parrot has made name for himself and has earned the respect with everyone he has come in contact.

During his moves from place to place to get correct, credible and accurate news for the people he represents, he has incredibly made several friends across the board, in politics and other shades of life.

It is no secret that, the wise bird is not a politician but he has respect for all the politicians, because world-over they play significant role in nation building.

Sometimes when Bra Parrot feels lonely he will visit some of his many politician friends in their respective political offices to talk about the good old days.

One day, the bird went to visit a friend in the far west of the capital, on his way back he decided to go to the All People’s Congress (APC) Party headquarters at Old Railway Line, Brookfields, Freetown to see another friend. Upon arrival at the office, the bird overheard some supporters saying that, the National Chairman of their party Hon. Minkailu Mansaray is not serious, and being curious, the bird went closer and closer to get more.

At one point, Parrot even forgot that he was in that office to see another friend.

As the augment progresses, the bird looked for a convenient place at the back where he will not be easily noticed. He sat there quietly and listened to all the conversations. He heard one of the supporters said the National Chairman Hon. Minkailu Mansaray has also shown interest in the race to become the next President come 2028.

Others went further to say that, anytime from now he will tender his letter of resignation as Chairman to join the race just as his deputy secretary general of the party Osman Timbo did. Some even insinuated that more are expected to follow.

This situation of everybody wanting to be flagbearer in their various political parties has left Bra Parrot to wonder that if they all succeed, who will vote for them? It’s like everyone becoming footballers who will be in the stands as fans to cheer them?

The bird as usual will go out to sound the views of people on sensitive national issues.

Most of the people he met described Hon. Minkailu Mansaray as a man who has ran out of ideas.

They insisted that the old man should now be chief adviser to the party more so when at the moment he holds a very important position as the administrative head the party.

His role now is to unite members of the party, bringing them together and put plans in place for the 2028 general elections and not to take part in any race.

One member told the bird that, APC has started it nonsense again just as in 2018, given that the number of aspirants for the flagbearer continues to grow at every tick of the clock.

If the information of the APC chairman to resign is any to go by, then, who knows who will resign again after him?

But the bird will continue to watch how things will unfold in the party.
