As his appointment is doubtful to many football pundits across the country, Victor Lewis’ choice on Friday September 15, 2023, marked the second time he has been handed the mandate to spearhead the responsibility of running the country’s male top-flight league. Lewis served as the Premier League Board Chairman of the 2011/12 campaign a league won by Diamond Stars FC and achieved a feat of being the first provincial side to lift the Premier League title.

The Chairman of East End Tigers FC, now a division one side of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA), Victor Lewis has been appointed by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to serve as the Premier League Board Chairman for the 2023/24 Sierra Leone Premier League season.

Before he was appointed as Premier League Board Chairman of the 2023/24 league season, Victor Lewis a renowned football administrator served in the capacity as Team Co-ordinator of the Leone Stars home-based team.

As someone who has been at the helm of a top-flight side in Sierra Leone, East End Tigers FC who were  relegated from the Premier League in the 2022/23 season, Victor Lewis is expected to change the narratives after succeeding Alieu Vandy Koroma Esquire, who served as Chairman of the Board on three consecutive occasions.

Key among the issues the administrators are expecting Victor Lewis to address under his leadership as Premier League Board Chairman cannot be unconnected to the welfare of the clubs.
