Abdulai Juma Bah, who is Sierra Leone’s international football star, has recorded his first debut for Spanish La Liga 1 side, RC Lens football club.
The 6ft-4in teenager broke a record when Real Valladolid promoted him to the first team becoming the first Sierra Leonean to be featured in a La Liga match.
Bah’s journey has been noteworthy, and such a feat is a testament to his patience and hardwork. He gained significant recognition in 2022 when he was registered as a loan player by Freetonians SLIFA, a club in Sierra Leone playing the domestic Premier League.
RC Lens, which defeated Montpellier 2-0 in the French Ligue 1 last Friday evening, are currently on 5th position in Ligue 1, having accumulated 33 points from 20 matches played.
Bah joined Les Sanget on loan from Manchester City.
The 18-year-old towering defender became the first Sierra Leonean player to join an English Premier League defending champions, on January 27, when he completed his move from club AIK in Freetown.
