Ibrahim Jajuwa, a teacher, has made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge of larceny.
According to the particulars of offence on 18th January 2025 at Koroma Drive, off Babadorie Lumley, in Freetown did steal one Tecno Spark mobile phone valued two thousand five hundred Leones(2,500) owned by one Marie Fornah
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Dpc 17649 Brima Kargbo sought for a short adjournment date to get to talk with his witness.
Counsel representing the accused person V.A Amara Esq applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that he is a Sierra Leonean resident and within the such jurisdiction he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to go stand for him on his behalf, and that he will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses nor will he jump bail.
He made his application pursuant to section 79 (3) of the Criminal Procedure Act No.32 of 1965.
Magistrate Kekura granted bail to the accused person in the sum of fifty thousand Leones or one surety in like sum surety must be resident within Freetown.
The surety was to produce the recent NCRA identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown and bail was to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar.
