All is now set to resume some cultivities including the famous Lantern Parade after seven years following the signing of Executive by President placing ban on them for obvious reasons.
The news has been greeted with great joy across the country. Independence Day event which is April 27th, every year for instance, attracts people from all walks of life across the country our independence and remember those who fought for our freedom.
Meanwhile, in spite of this good news certain people are not still happy claiming that during the seven year ban on these cultural activities certain parts of the country especially Bo district were blatantly defying it as they kept celebrating The Bo School anniversary and other events.
They alleged that govenment never took action against the organisers, insisting that it was quite unfair.
Meanwhile, many Sierra Leoneans thanked the Ministry of Cultural Affairs for what they referred to as a laudable venture that will not only make young people particulary happy but will reenergize the mindset of people on culture.
