The wise bird will never relent or rather take a back seat on issues that has to do with the general wellbeing of the people and the development of Mama Salone in general.

The Parrot’s relentless desire to follow every development in this republic is being prompted by the deliberate failure of state functionaries to genuinely perform their duties for which they are paid from the consolidated revenue fund.

The patriotic bird views that behavior as not only a naked corruption but a gross wickedness which have undeniably retrogressed this tiny nation endowed with numerous natural resources, thus permanently being pegged at the bottom of development index.

This is not the first time Bra Parrot in his personal efforts has brought salient issues of concern to those responsible for action, but those efforts had remained unattended.

However, the bird has vowed that what he has started in good faith will never be the last as long as the issue has to do with the people he represents until something meaningful is done.

Except for those who do not like Bra Parrot, but can attest to the fact that he has severally heralded the issue of the unnecessary and incessant noise caused by these street traders using mega-phones and loud speakers to advertise their goods to the public.

This unhealthy situation has continued to cause embarrassment to peaceful citizens including worshippers especially in the capital.

But it seems the authorities concerned especially the Freetown City Council (FCC) is just too lethargic to perform their responsibilities, which is why the marauding and lawless traders don’t treat them seriously, because they believe the city’s byelaws are just mere words that has never bitten any defaulting trader very hard to serve as deterrent to others.

While the capital city council remained silent or even dead, others are very active and admirably performing well, which is why the Parrot say bravo to Bo City Mayor in particular for taking the bold step to stop the unnecessary noise made by the traders like their counterparts here in the capital using similar methods.

From the Parrot’s investigations, it appears that, the Mayor of Freetown city council (FCC) Mayor Aki- Yvonne Sawyer has pleasure in the noise in the capital, thus giving the opportunity to these lawless traders to continue to torment the peaceful citizens at will.

Since Bra Parrot started his crusade against this unruly behavior, Mayor Aki-Sawyer has not for once condemned or even put out a press release whether hypocritical to address the issue. The city mother’s attitude has really pained the bird to say the least. Had he power to remove her he can do so effective immediately with further consideration.

But the Mayor’s recent attitude to leave the running of the city in the hands of others has not come as a surprise to the Parrot because he has been reliably informed that she is now deeply interested in the leadership of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party to become president of this kingdom.

The question most people are asking including the wise bird is, if Mayor Aki-Sawyer cannot control a council which is just a fraction of the country, can she be able to control a population of about 8m+ people?

The bird as usual always goes out to get the views of people on very sensitive issues that have to do with the state and or personalities.

On this particular issue about noise pollution in the city, almost all those he met were very much disgruntled and upset about it, due to the FCC’s lackadaisical attitude to address it.

All of them are in agreement with the bird that, the Mayor who is unable to control common traders will never be able to control a state of about 8m+ people.

Some even told Bra Parrot that, her interest/intension of becoming president should be killed at birth because they described it as a complete joke.

The bird will continue to blow the trumpet on this perpetual noise situation in the city until something is done to address it with the seriousness it deserves.

Like this noise thing, the  bird has also been talking about the poor construction work done at the Eastern-Police roundabout, but unfortunately up to date no action has been taken, simply put some authorities are just square-pegs in round holes, they are not fit to be in those positions.
