As the Wise Bird before this time always says he loves to read widely.
This is because the uncompromising bird wants to get accurate and correct information, and so many a time,he goes the extra mile especially on social media (You Tube and WhatsApp).
The bird also likes to listen to news on radio and watches TV so that he might not misquote or misinform the public on important national issues.
The Wise Bird was fortunate to see a video clip on YouTube about the First Lady of Sierra Leone; the video is entitled: ‘Sierra Leone First Lady fearless speech in US shakes the world- Big secret revealed’.
In that video, the First Lady was trying to be very much diplomatic in talking, but she couldn’t because she is not used to it.
Remember she had been quoted as saying that all those who are not supporting the ruling party (SLPP) are not true Sierra Leoneans.
The Wise Bird was not surprised because she is not accustomed in talking of good things in public.
She tried, but doesn’t know how to put her case across as she indicted her own government big time.
From what the brave bird overheard from the First Lady’s mouth, it was not in line with what the people had wanted her to say and she was not diplomatic in her words.
The most respected, patriotic, fearless and uncompromising bird was in sympathy with her, but there was no way of telling her to stop talking as her utterances were not in the best interest of the nation.
From what the Wise Bird understood from her speech she was justifying all the odds in the country such as lack of peace, lack of pipe borne water, lack of electricity in the country and a lot more.
Madam First Lady, in showcasing the problems of Sierra Leone, she accused the British of being the ones to have provided Sierra Leone electricity but yet still the country is without electricity and, without electricity she said, the country cannot talk of education, good health facility and infrastructure in the country.
The Wise Bird also got from her speech that there are no reason for the country to celebrate Independence because we are not free.
The First Lady says, we are not given the free will to make decision on our own as she stressed: always the big brothers will decide for us, and how they set up the opposition or rather support the opposition from the back so that the government is unable to govern the people in the country.
The Wise Bird listened to the clip from start to finish, and it heard the First Lady said that before her husband became the President of Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone was benefiting 0.000.1%.
However, the brave bird did not understand exactly what she meant by that percentage (%).
On this, the Wise Bird will bring to its readers the First Lady’s speeches; it advises them to continue to read Bra Parrot’s Column promising them that they will get more details on this talk.
