Mohamed Lamin Kamara, Head Coach of Salone U20, has invited 25 home-based players to join the team’s training camp as preparations continue for the upcoming TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations slated in Egypt.
Players have been selected from various Premier League and First Division clubs across the country.
The clubs include East End Lions, Old Edwardians, Wusum Stars, FC Kallon, Star Sports, Luawa FC, SLIFA, Mighty Blackpool, Bo Rangers, Wilberforce FC, Kamboi Eagles, Bhantal FC, and Diamond Stars. One overseas-based player from Minnesota United, supposedly playing in the USA, was also included in the squad.
The camp will focus on final game plans and fitness checks ahead of the team’s departure for Egypt.
The squad number is expected to be cut down before the final list is submitted to CAF.
Sierra Leone is aiming to make a marked presence at the tournament.
Salone team has been placed in the competitive group.
