One of the oldest Sierra Leone Premier League clubs in the country, East End Lions defeated SLIFA FC 2-0 in the ongoing men’s Premier League at the Approved School Grounds last week Friday.
The Killers recorded their second win of the 2024-25 campaign. Musa Bangura and Alie Conteh both scored in the first-half of play.
The player said he was elated to see his name on the record score sheet despite SLIFA being his former club.
“I’m really happy because this is my first goal for East End Lions this season,” the winger said. He hoped to continue his fine form to play hard with dedication.
Mohamed Lamin Kamara, Head Coach said the victory is an indication that the team is in the right direction this season but warned that they should not let their “guard down.”
SLIFA have suffered a back-to-back defeat for the first time this season.
They forfeited their previous match against FC Kallon due to ‘professional misconduct.’
