The most respected Bra Parrot is a visionary and saw it all coming before these time that, some people in the political circle are not responsible.

It could be recalled that, the Wise Bird has written series of articles in respect the potholes in the capital city Freetown.

Over the weekend the Director General of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) Engineer Amara Kanneh was on radio justifying the claims made by the Wise Bird that, the city has well over one million potholes.

The bird overheard the Director General saying he was and still aware of all the potholes in the city but only that they are constrain with funding.

He went further to say that, they will try to handle the situation immediately after the rains.

From that point, the birds came to conclusion that, it is a matter of negligent of duty on the side of the Director General and his team.

This also brings the bird to the poor construction of the East End Police round-about and the Goderich Street which now has more potholes than before.

This is a clear show that, the Director General is very much aware of the Fourah Bay Road approaching the East End Police which is now a pool for washing of feet.

The Wise Bird will not hesitate to say that, some of President Bio’s appointees are just squarer pegs in round holes to say the least.

It is no secret that, the Sierra Leone Roads Authority was established by an Act of Parliament, and the institution has all the rights to demand for funding from the road maintenance fund to maintain all the roads in the country.

The bird is made to understand that, each gallon/liter of fuel bought an amount is deducted for the maintenance of roads in the country.

The question the bird wants to ask is where is all the monies collected so far going?

The fact of the matter is these are some of the places the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) should probe into how the monies is been spent.

It is even a shame and disgrace to hear the Director General saying, the issue of potholes cannot be handled because of the unavailability of funds
