Except otherwise people want to deviate from telling the truth, but everyone knows that the elderly citizen is a patriot who loves his fellow countrymen and will ever remain loyal to his beloved country Sierra Leone.

My avowed commitment is never to wish my country any bad omen that is more the reason the brave bird is always praying for peace, unity and togetherness in the country. I pledge my love and loyalty….

Bra Parrot is saying all of this because certain unscrupulous individuals who are jealous of his patriotic strides want to link him with their retrogressive behaviours. BACK TO SENDER! May Holy Ghost Fire scatter their evil plans, Amen.

Just like I have stated earlier, I’ve never nursed or supported any bad plan for my country and people not to talk of involvement in a coup plot directly or indirectly.

The only thing people can say about Bra Parrot which he can agree with them is that he is inquisitive because he wants to know everything about the nation especially the one that can make it progress.

It’s for this very important reason that the wise bird of late has been following the November 26th 2023 events and will continue to make a follow up till the very end.

Folks, do you know that the over 60 years wise bird despite his old age who has been giving advice to different leaders, I mean presidents is still confused about certain strange things happening especially under this current administration? STRANGE INDEED my fellow Sierra Leoneans.

Since I landed on planet earth, I’ve never heard or seen any person charged with treason and been put on bail. Have anyone heard or seen it before? Please let me know.

Like I said, this is the very first time in the history of this country for me to see someone charged with such abominable offense like treason and granted bail. Wow! This is Sierra Leone indeed.

What has even beaten the imagination of the wise and patriotic bird is that, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Mr. Mohamed Lamin Tarawally has said openly at a press conference in Freetown that TREASON is a BAILABLE offence through the High Court. Any way Parrot has decided to remain mute about such legal argument because he is a layman in that area.

However, the patient animal still is in a disturb state because the Attorney General and Minister of Justice did not quote from any of the law books including the Constitution of Sierra Leone to support his statement.

Mr. Tarawally only said the law makes provision for that and only a Judge can do so at his discretion.

Although the brave bird is not a lawyer, but has in many occasions been able to put one and one together for people to understand. But in this case even though the Attorney General is a learned legal authority he has actually not been able to convince anyone of his statement.

As usual, when the wise bird decided to sound the views of people on the issue, all most all those he talked to expressed surprise and disappointment over the Attorney General and Minister of Justice’s statement.

The wise bird as usual visited the headquarters of the two big political parties in the country, the governing Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the All People’s Congress (APC) party to get their views on this topical matter.

Their views however were mixed as expected. The SLPP on one hand, were divided on granting the former president bail while some were in support, others were against it.

APC members and supporters on the other hand, were in total support even though some of them said this is the first time in the history of the country to grant bail on treason matter. They added that, ‘the coup don banfa’.

 Meanwhile, they agitated that, if a bail is granted to one person it must be so for the rest of the accused in the name of justice, which gives credence to the adage: “What is good for John must be good James.”
