Bra Parrot is always knowledgeable about daily events in and out of the country that is more the reason the wise bird is so much loved by the general public.

The wise bird is always in offices, police stations; hospitals on the roadsides to get the fact about things by so doing, the wise bird will not misinform or tell lies.

Everybody knows that, the fearless bird love flying. One morning, over the weekend the wise bird was coming to town, as usual to get correct and accurate information to tell the people. During the process, the wise bird over heard some people talking about a secret appointment made by the President for the position of a Chief of Staff in the Office of the President.

From the wise bird’s understanding, creating a position of that nature is a clear duplication of the office of the Chief Minister.

This latest development has just reminded the Patriotic bird of the days of former President Ernest Bai Koroma when he appointed a Chief of Staff to handle certain functions assigned to that office by the President.

But no sooner the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) came to power in 2018, that office was out-rightly condemned and all Staffs were sacked by the former Chief Minister Professor David Francis.

Only God knows whether those former workers at that unit received any benefit from the SLPP government.

Today, the same office that was condemned by the present administration has again re-created it secretly which many people believe is a duplication of the work of the present hard working Chief Minister.

The functions or mandates of a Chief of Staff to the understanding of the wise bird, is to control access to the President and also monitors the activities of ministers and their ministries and other responsibilities the President deems fit to be handled by that office.

A good number of people in and out of the country today know very little about a Chief of Staff and a Chief Minister and whose office supersedes who?

A Chief of Staff position the present government has created secretly, is a role people believe is just a job for the boys.

Bra Parrot is of the view that, the President is making all this unwarranted appointments to satisfy those who helped him in his campaign trail.

All of these appointments are at the detriment of the economy, taking in to consideration the high number of people in the Cabinet receiving huge salaries, Commissions set up by the government that are not workable with ministries that are doing almost the same functions.
