Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has announced its final 14-woman squad for the upcoming BCA Kalahari Women’s T20 Tournament, which is planned to take place in Gaborone, Botswana come April 24 to May 1, 2025.
The Southern Africa tournament will feature five nations: Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Eswatini, Kuwait, and host country Botswana, with all teams standing to compete by playing 14 matches each.
The event is expected to bring together 70 senior women cricketers for weeks competition.
Sierra Leone will play four matches in the group stage; with a potential fifth should they advance to the final stage.
CSL Media says this will be Sierra Leone’s second appearance in the Kalahari tournament. The team made a remarkable debut in 2018, finishing as runners-up after previously clinching the NWACC Championship title for three consecutive years.
Sierra Leone will open their 2025 campaign against Mozambique on Saturday, April 26.
The names of the selected players are as follow: Aminata Kamara (Captain), Ann Marie Kamara, Celina Bull, Marie Turay, Fatu Conteh, Nancy Mary Square, Zainab Kamara, Linda Bull, Patrica Pratt, Hussainatu Sawanah, Emma Kamara, Alice Fillie, Jane Newland, and Mary Sheriff.
