Abdulai Juma Bah, the Sierra Leonean international in Spain, has impressed football lovers and Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad by making history on Friday, to becoming the first player from his country to be featured in La Liga.
The 18-year-old center-back played for Real Valladolid in their goalless draw against Real Sociedad.
Bah, who joined Valladolid less than a month ago in the team and became a star player in his debut, playing 78 minutes.
His strong performances have earned him a place in the team’s starting lineup.
Bah’s outstanding journey to La Liga is noteworthy. From playing in the streets of Freetown to working in a bakery, he has come a long way, though.
His talent was recognized by scouts, who traveled to Africa to see the player.
