For involving into gay activities, Police Declares Ibrahim Mansaray wanted
19yrs-old, Justice Jusu Kallon, has on the 10th June 2024 had appeared before magistrate Sahr Kekura of the Pademba Road court No.1 in Freetown.
He was standing for an allegation of stealing from a staff, Josephus Choe Junior, who worked at Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources The items are valued le20,008/00.
The accused Justice Jusu Kallon was brought in court on two counts of house breaking and larceny as contrary to section 26(1) of the larceny Act 1916.
According to the indictment, it was alleged that the accused on Tuesday 7 May 2024 at W-7 Spur Loop, Freetown broke and entered into the dwelling house of Josephus Choe Junior Mamie and stole therein gabbana perfume brand, two-multi colored T-Shirt, one solar (study light),with multiple chargers, one Akuraba wall hanging, two Ralph Lauren polo T-shirt, one school bag and a sum of two hundred thousand Leone.
All items total two hundred and twelve thousand four hundred and fourteen Leone (le212,414.00).
It was also alleged on count two that the accused on 10th May 2024 stole one silver flash drive, one pair of white towel, one thermal Base Lawyer Long sleeves T-Shirt, two set of three underwear, one bottle of cocktail drink, and other items all totalling twenty thousand and eight Leones (le20,008/00) as property of Josephus Choe Junior Mamie.
Josephus choe junior Mamie lives at #7 Wilberforce Freetown, and is a civil servant attached at the Ministry of Fishery and Marine Resources.
The witness recognized the accused on the 10th of May when he was called upon at CID and the victim was apprehended with stolen properties.
He recalled Tuesday, 7th to the 10th May 2024 on the date in question between 11:00 clock in the morning hours, he was returning home from his office, and upon reaching home and opening his door, he saw stranger slippers and he also saw his daughters’ shoe in the garden.
According to the witness, he rushed upstairs and found out that the main door had been damaged.
He said he saw screw drivers on the floor, and the master bed room door and his daughter’s room were opened, and so he called his wife and explained what he had seen.
He further said that, when he entered his room, he discovered that his perfume, which cost ninety-five United States Dollars which is equivalent to two thousand three hundred and ten leones. And his two pairs of multi- colors t-shirt valued at three hundred Leones, another pair of t-shirt valued at two hundred pound sterling, a school-bag all valued at One Hundred United States Dollars equivalent to two thousand three hundred and forty leones.
The wooden box, he said, where his wife had kept her money was also missing and it cost the sum of two thousand four hundred and thirteen leones.
All these items are a total value of Twenty thousand and eight Leone.
The witness further explained at the police station, police officers took snapshots of the scene of crime.
On 10 May 2024, at the CID headquarters, they received a call from one of his neighbors who told them that they had apprehended the accused with some of his properties.
They went home with some police officers, and they met a large crowd at their house together with the accused holding two bags and things.
The witness concluded that they were accompanied by some of the neighbors while taking the accused persons to CID headquarters.
Their statement was obtained by the officer.
The witness stated that all the properties listed were still in the hands of the police while the accused were unrepresented.
Their bail was refused, and the matter was adjourned to 18th June 2024.
